Todo.txt Touch App Reviews

Great App, but only syncs to Dropbox

Would be amazing if this app offered other sync-able solutions like BTSync!

Love Lee

Works great. Simple and effective system. So far it does what it says on the tin. Dropbox working fine..

My Favorite Simple Todo App

Its quick, easy, simple, and syncs with my usual todo.txt file on my Mac. Perfect.

Simple task list

I love that this uses plain text as its file basis. It makes it easy to edit from the desktop without buying into a proprietary system. I find it works well for simple tasking needs. Those who need more advanced sorting/filtering/subtask/project management options probably wont like this as much, but for those who want simplicity and portability cant go wrong here. My main complaint with this app (as of 2014-12-05) is it says its optimized for the iPhone 6+ resolution, but its not. Wish someone would fix that (or at the very least, remove that from the compatibility section).

Badges dont work

I love the concept. Unfortunately the badges do not work. Also there is no corresponding Mac app. (The available 3rd party apps are mediocre.)

Filter doesnt work on iPad version

This a great app, but the developers havent fixed the project filter bug for the the iPad (it has been close to three months since the last update).

Filters dont work

Filters for projects dont work at the moment. It should be an easy fix but for some reason the developer hasnt updated the app in months. Maybe the app is abandoned? For a paid app with one of its core features being unusable, I would not recommend this app in its present form.

App languishing.

This app is a good start but seems to be languishing - I dont know if Gina from LifeHacker still maintains this or if everythings "community based" now. Issues: support is through a Yahoo Group - good luck with that, some buttons/filters dont work correctly. But the _biggest_ is that it has trouble staying synced through Dropbox. My two devices cant stay up-to-date because it cant reliably merge them. My spider-sense tingled when the app reported a file conflict when I was only using it on one device with Dropbox. (How could it confuse itself?) Beware until these support/development issues are addressed.

No updates

Since it is clear that Gina Trapani is not updating the app, can you please, please, please, open the source that this turns into an open-source, community-based effort.

Requires Dropbox account to do anything.

It is my fault for not reading the entire description very carefully, but this app requires a Dropbox account. Without a Dropbox account the app just sits in the initial screen not allowing you to do anything. If Im the type of person who wants an open source toto list, then Im not the type of person who wants to give my data to Dropbox... Waste of $2. Refund please?

Sad face

Todo.txt is great, but this iOS app is horrible and hasnt been updated in a long time.

Neat idea poor execution.

Too many bugs
