I really love Todo.txt, but the most recent update crashes every time I open it.

Search function works ok, but tap on an item, and you get the top item on your todo list instead. Makes searching impractical and unusable. Also frequent crashes with 4s running ios 7. Pre-iOS 7 versions were wonderful. But unfortunately this app is following the pattern of "rush out the new version, bugs and all"

after update, the app opens but immediately crashes. everytime. tried deleting & re-downloading, but i get the same result.

Crashy update, even after reinstall and reboot. And as another reviewer noted, edits dont show until you back out to the list.

iPhone 5 here with dropbox linked account. Previously I was having trouble with the dropbox syncing complaining about newer versions every time I added an item. Now the app just crashes immediately when I try to open it. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling. Same problem (after I link Dropbox). Please fix this app! I cant believe a fix hasnt come out yet!

I also have had crashes related to dropbox syncing. Deleting/renaming the file on a PC fixed it but restored the text file to an older version.

This app is great for productivity. We all know that. The problem is that the constant crashes with Dropbox make it hardly usable for real productivity. You have to be able to trust your system. With this app, I cant. Thats why I really cant use it until its fixed. It troubles me this is been going on for months and the developers are not implemented to fix yet. Maybe they need to raise the price they can dedicate the proper resources? I would gladly pay more for more prompt attention to be given to this app. It seems the only way to fix this is to uninstall and reinstall after creating a fresh txt file in Dropbox. Not exactly what you want to be messing with when trying to keep a reliable list of your todo tasks.

This app crashes frequently, and is too unreliable to be useful. It used to be a pretty great app before version 1.4 but many months and several versions have passed with no fix for the instability.

No longer stable

I love the idea of plain text lists, but I need to be able apply context and project to multiple items when they are added. I cut and paste tasks from other sources (e.g., someone emails me a list of things to do). When I paste these items into the list, I want to append the same project tag to each item. On Unix, I can write a script, but not on my phone. Other points: - oddly, cannot view the entire todo.txt file within the app. - many have said this: support for multiple files would be nice. We can simulate this using alternate directories, but that is cumbersome.

Crash with dropbox.

pure genius of an app. its lightweight nature is great, and operates in GNU Emacs next to Org-mode very nicely.

Love the todo.txt concept, and this app is a well-written interface to it. However, it frequently crashes right after opening (probably the initial dropbox sync!) and thus is currently unusable.

I cant even get the app open and be responsive without a complete crash. I have it synced with Dropbox and its been great being able to update my to do list from any device at any time, until now that it crashes. Without fail. I love todo.txt and will change my review and rating to reflect that once the crashing stops.

My initial excitement and 5 star review has turned to disappointment and a single star. I thought I had solved the crashing issue but that success was fleeting. As the rest have said, it crashes too often to be usable. I should probably figure out the process to get my $2 back.

It is awesome until it starts crashing. Then you should reinstall the app and it seems to fix the crashing issue temporarily.

I thought it would be like a plain text version Taskpaper. However, this app is to simple. - I can not change the Dropbox todo.txt file name. - I cannot set due date for tasks. (Really basic function for a todo app) I thought about using due date as tag,but that was not so ideal and also not what I really want. - sometimes it crush also. - also it seems they dont update this app so often. Add due date and I will give it 5 stars.

Thank you for fixing. This app ends up being the fulcrum of my entire organizational system, which todo.txt has worked wonders for, except when I am out of pocket. This is a huge relief.
